Specifics
At the 11am Sunday mornings, a nursery is provided for infants to 5 years old(if you choose), and everyone else starts in the sanctuary for welcome, morning prayers, a praise hymn or contemporary song. It is peaceful, and we really do mean "come as you are." There are no dress codes or expectations.
At about 11:15 the children hear a "Children's Sermon" and then the children in grades K-5 and their teachers are dismissed with prayer to their class for Bible activities and fun projects related to the Children's Sermon. You can read more about this on the Children ministry page.
In the sanctuary, the adults and youth continue worship with singing, prayers and a message from Scripture brought by Pastor Frank Gallo or an elder. The Bible based messages are meant to encourage, instruct, give hope, challenge and bring us into right relationship with God and others. Our services are liturgical- members of the congregation, both young and older, serve and participate.
Communion/Lord's Supper is served the 1st Sunday of each month. The Lord’s Supper is a reminder of what Jesus did in the past, a symbol of our present relationship with him and a promise of what he will do in the future. It is a beautiful time of remembrance, hope and connection.
We don't pass an offering plate during our services. There are offering plates at the front of the sanctuary where financial gifts can be placed. We believe financial giving is a personal and necessary part of worship- a decision made between you and God, through prayer and scriptural understanding.
After service, we meet our children in their nursery or classroom, and then if able, join one another in the fellowship hall for a Fellowship Meal on the 1st Sunday of the month or for a Snack Fellowship on the other Sundays. This time of fellowship is full of conversation and refreshing as we then head into our week-having grown in faith, fellowship, and service together.
